A Tasting Evening at Byzantino Restaurant
The restaurant **Byzantino**, located within the state-of-the-art AEK OPAP Arena – Center of Sports, Memory, and Culture, has opened its doors and hosted a tasting evening for journalists from the culinary and sports reporting fields.
The guests were welcomed by Mr. Christos Athanasiadis, Christos Papadimitriou, Dimitris Christoforidis, Manos Gavras, and Kostas Mastorakis on behalf of Gendal, a member of the Nice n Easy Group, which manages the F&B services of the stadium.
The tasting menu featured dishes such as light aioli with almonds, pastourma pie with handmade phyllo, beef tartare “soutzoukaki Smyrneiko,” politiki salad, manti stuffed with minced beef, mutton skewers, and creamy halva with sesame pasteli as a sweet finish.
The menu includes dishes prepared with Greek raw materials and organic, high-quality, and pure ingredients. Traditional offerings, with flavors and aromas from the urban cuisine of Constantinople and Asia Minor, are creatively combined with modern gastronomic trends and advanced techniques.
Every Sunday, you can enjoy the Byzantine Breakfast, featuring many small, flavorful dishes traditionally served in Constantinople.
The Byzantino restaurant, covering 1,000 square meters and offering panoramic views of the playing field, is open Thursday to Friday from 18:00 to 24:00, Saturday to Sunday from 12:00 to 24:00, as well as on match days.
